UUCB Music Director

Heather Landers organizes and directs all aspects of the music program of UUCB and is the current Secretary on the UUCB Board of Trustees.  On Sunday mornings she directs the UUCB Choir and sometimes plays the piano or another instrument.  Heather believes that music can enrich the individual experience of any spiritual gathering and strives to spread her love of music to everyone she meets.

Heather has an extensive musical performance background in voice, piano and many woodwind instruments, especially in her primary focus, the clarinet.  Her love of music began when she was barely old enough to walk and has continued throughout her entire life.

Heather is a member of the International Clarinet Association, an amateur composer and has preformed with many different amateur and professional organizations.  She was a member of the orchestra in Walt Disney’s World’s Largest Concert Telecast and was privileged to play in the honor band for the opening of Euro Disney accompanying the Temptations and the Four Tops and playing for the opening ceremonies on Disney’s international television broadcast of the event.  In addition to this she has preformed in Florida All-State bands, symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles as a clarinetist, in jazz ensembles as a saxophonist and pianist and as a solo performer and competition artist on clarinet, saxophone, voice and piano.

In addition to her musical studies, Heather is a writer and is a student of Judo and Jujitsu along with her husband Dave.
